Wild lupine is a low maintenance, perennial, native plant with flowers that blooms May - June, for over 1 month. Lupine prefer good drainage, and can be grown in poor soil. 

Blue showy blooms appear on multiple spikes up to 8 inches long. It attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators. Small mammals, and songbirds eat the seeds.

Propagate by seed or root cutting. Plant seeds in the fall.

Poisonous to humans, cats, dogs and horses.
Toxic only to humans if large quantities of seed are eaten.
